What happened?
The SEC lost nearly 900 staffers in FY 2025, according to a GAO report, the majority of which did so for voluntary departure incentives. This significant reduction in headcount could result in delays in response times. FilePoint has seen clients reporting delays in receiving comments on preliminary filings, difficulty getting in touch with filer support, and has even seen first-time filers wait up to a week to receive their filing codes.
